About Jim:
Jim Freeburg is the founder and executive director of the Patient Coalition of Washington, an advocacy alliance which unites 17 of the state’s leading patient groups to have one voice for better health care. The Patient Coalition provides state policymakers with the patient perspective on health care issues, with a particular focus on equity, access, affordability, and quality. Jim frequently testifies before the state legislature and serves on numerous boards, such as the Foundation for Health Care Quality, the state Prescription Drug Affordability Board’s Advisory Committee and the Washington Health Benefit Exchange’s Cascade Care Stakeholder Workgroup. Jim lives in Renton with his wife and two young daughters, including one with asthma.
